Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. and MeadowWood Behavioral Health Partner with Delaware Aging NetworkNEW CASTLE, Del. – (May 27, 2010) – MeadowWood Behavioral Health, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, is proud to announce that it has teamed up with the Delaware Aging Network. As part of the partnership, staff from MeadowWood will provide information sessions to staff members at Senior Centers in Delaware on how to help others deal with mental health issues. “This partnership is a great opportunity for us to be involved in our community,” said Bill Mason, chief executive officer of MeadowWood. “Staff members at senior centers are often the first to know if one of their members is experiencing a difficult situation. Because of tight budget constraints, they aren’t always able to get the training they may need to help. We want to provide that training.” Dr. Ranga Ram, MeadowWood’s Medical Director, recently lead a training and information seminar for staff members at an area Senior Center. He offered practical information to the staff members about geriatric depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorders, psychoses and dementia. Ram helped educate them on when and how to seek out professional help if one of their members needs it. The Delaware Aging Network is made up of more than 50 agencies across the state dedicated to improving the quality of services older adults receive. The training sessions MeadowWood provides will take place quarterly. The next one will be held in June. About MeadowWood Behavioral Health System About Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) ### |
